Aloe Vera

Whether you choose to use fresh aloe or pure store bought, its benefits are incredible to rehydrate skin. Its high water content helps replenish and retain moisture in the skin. Aloe vera contains polysaccharides that act as natural humectants, attracting and locking in moisture to keep the skin hydrated.

Aloe vera gel forms a protective barrier on the skin, preventing moisture loss and maintaining hydration levels.

The gel also contains vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids that nourish and promote healthy skin.Aloe vera can help improve skin elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles associated with dehydration.

Oatmeal

Have you ever wondered why people rave on about oatmeal baths? Oats contain beta-glucan, a polysaccharide that forms a protective barrier on the skin, helping to retain moisture and prevent water loss. The proteins in oatmeal have water-binding properties, allowing them to attract and hold moisture in the skin.

Oatmeal is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin E and phenols, which help protect the skin from environmental damage and promote hydration. They are also perfect for those with sensitive skin providing relief for various skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis.

Rose Water

Rose water can be used as a facial mist or as an addition to DIY skincare recipes, providing a refreshing burst of hydration. It contains natural oils and sugars that help attract and retain moisture in the skin, effectively hydrating and moisturizing it.

Rose water acts as a humectant, helping to lock in moisture and prevent water loss from the skin. Rose water is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamin C, which help protect the skin from oxidative stress and promote hydration.

Spirulina

Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that offers various benefits for rehydrating the skin. Spirulina has a unique ability to retain water, acting as a natural hydrating agent for the skin.

Spirulina contains phycocyanin, a pigment with anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe dry and irritated skin which is crucial for those with dry skin triggered by menopause.

It supports the production of collagen, a protein responsible for maintaining the skin's moisture and firmness. The algae's natural detoxifying properties also help remove impurities from the skin, allowing for better absorption of hydrating ingredients.

Cucumber Extract

Cucumber extract is known for its high water content, making it a natural hydrating ingredient for the skin.

It contains antioxidants and vitamins, such as vitamin C and caffeic acid, which help to replenish and retain moisture in the skin. It has natural astringent properties that can help tighten and firm the skin, promoting a more hydrated and rejuvenated appearance.

Olive Oil

Olive oil contains 60-85% linoleic acid which is an essential fatty acid that plays a crucial role in maintaining skin hydration. It helps to strengthen the skin's natural moisture barrier, preventing water loss and promoting optimal hydration levels.

Linoleic acid is also incredible to use for mature skin to bring back moisture into dry menopausal skin.

Linoleic acid supports the production of ceramides, which are essential for maintaining the skin's moisture balance. It is involved in the synthesis of skin lipids, including sebum, which contributes to the skin's natural hydration.

Manuka Honey

Manuka honey helps to create a protective barrier on the skin, preventing moisture loss and locking in hydration. It contains enzymes that promote skin cell renewal and regeneration, leading to a smoother and more hydrated complexion.

It is rich in antioxidants that help combat free radicals and protect the skin from environmental damage, promoting healthier and more hydrated skin.
