My Story: From Struggle to Strength
Five years ago, as I entered menopause a phase often accompanied by various health challenges—I was diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance that profoundly affected my well-being. I experienced extreme fatigue, low energy, and mood swings. My skin mirrored this turmoil, becoming dry, flaky, and developing deep wrinkles. I also dealt with frequent breakouts, pigmentation on my upper cheeks, and flaky skin on my hands and legs.
In search of relief, a renowned integrative wellness practitioner advised me to eliminate all chemically laden haircare, skincare, makeup, and massage oils; as the chemicals seep into our bloodstream and cause havoc with our hormones, causing various autoimmune diseases and cancer. My wellness practitioner, Vaidyaji Priyanka, recommended transitioning to natural, organic alternatives and embracing a holistic lifestyle that included a healthy, organic diet and strength training. Implementing these changes, I gradually regained my energy and well-being.
This personal journey opened my eyes to a broader issue: many women navigating perimenopause and menopause face similar challenges. The skin changes—dryness, flakiness, deep wrinkles, breakouts, and pigmentation—are not just superficial concerns but indicators of a deeper need for supportive, effective solutions.
With over two decades of experience in the skincare industry, including my role as General Manager of Nivea Skincare, where I led product development and marketing for international launches, and an MBA in Business and Marketing, I was equipped to create real solutions. Collaborating with health practitioners, including experts in Ayurveda and herbal medicine, I developed products free from harsh chemicals and preservatives.
This journey led to the creation of Empress Naturals—a brand dedicated to clean, natural skincare and wellness. Our products address the unique changes women experience during perimenopause and menopause, whether combating dryness, restoring elasticity, or soothing irritation. These are not just skin concerns; they are lived experiences, and I understand them firsthand.
